Ceremony: Yosemite Chapel
Reception: Mural Room, The Ahwahnee Hotel – Majestic Yosemite Hotel
Officiant: Rev. Joel Davadilla
Mariachi: Los Salazar
Nadia and Marcos had a truly one-of-a-kind wedding. After a morning of preparations in Yosemite West surrounded by family and some portrait time around Yosemite Valley, they arrived for an intimate ceremony at Yosemite Chapel. Their wedding was a full Catholic Mass conducted entirely in Spanish and accompanied by beautiful traditional music by their incredible Mariachi trio, Los Salazr. It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies we’ve ever witnessed. Their reception followed at The Ahwahnee Hotel (Majestic Yosemite Hotel) in the Mural Room. We know that they dispelled any myth that a small wedding has less energy than a large one. Their wedding had less than 25 guests and had the energy of hundreds of people. I remember asking Nadia and Marcos if there was going to be any dancing and they said that they weren’t sure if there would be much more than a first dance. From the minute we all arrived, the Marciachis began to play and their family and friends danced non-stop only to take a break for dinner and toasts. Their toasts were lively as everyone celebrated and cheered for the bride and groom. Nadia and Marcos were able to dance with every guest and enjoy such a festive and special day.
