Kasey and Paul were married on May 30, 2009 lakeside at the Pines Resort at Bass Lake. A few drops of rain did not damper the spirit and it was so beautiful when the skies cleared for their ceremony. Kasey first arrived to the wedding lawn via a golf cart escorted by her Uncles. She walked down the aisle with her Grandfather who then handed her off to her Dad, who walked her to Paul. We thought it was such a loving touch to the processional. The ceremony was followed by a packed reception at the Oakhurst Community Center where everyone enjoyed dinner and dancing. Paul is a firefighter and there were a lot of fun elements including the cool fire helmet groom’s cake and the custom firefighter cake topper. Also, the ritual of coring the cake (when firefighters sneakily take a huge chunk out of the back of the cake when no one is watching) must have happened during the toasts. Right after, we noticed the big hole in the back of the cake that wasn’t there earlier. Kasey and Paul are so nice and we really enjoyed their special day!
