Caitlin & Keith’s Yosemite E-Session

There have been so many heartfelt and emotional tributes on this Veterans Day and we didn’t want the day to end without us giving tribute to an incredible couple who we photographed in Yosemite this past weekend. Like many military couples, Caitlin and Keith have been living apart. Keith is a U.S. Marine who has been stationed in Hawaii and Caitlin recently finished school in San Diego. Keith is leaving this weekend for his first deployment overseas. They met us in Yosemite and we spent a good part of the day photographing them with the beautiful Fall colors in Yosemite Valley. It was so beautiful! We were so honored to spend the day with them and look forward to capturing their wedding next summer. We have so much respect and gratitude for the many past and present military couples that we’ve had the privilege to meet and photograph on their wedding day. We’d like to take this day to remind them how appreciative we are of their dedication and service.

  • Caitlin - I just got back from taking Keith (or Kevin, if you’re Johnny) to the airport…countdown til June 23rd!! I came home to find this post and again, thank you, thank you, thank you. You went above and beyond in getting us those flip books for Keith to take…he flew out this afternoon with one in his pocket, one in his pack, and one in another bag. Such a seemingly small gesture meant the world to us in an obviously difficult time. We can’t thank you enough and can’t wait to shoot in August!!

  • Anna Matsumoto - I just wanted to say thank you for what a great job you did and how sweet you were to my baby sister, Caitlin. Looking at these pictures brings tears to my eyes… you did a wonderful job of capturing Caitlin’s beauty. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you next summer at the wedding.

    Sincerely,
    Anna Matsumoto
